New releases: InterPro database (v. 65.0) and InterProScan (v. 5.26-65.0) for functional analysis. InterPro now covers over 80.7% of the UniProt Knowledgebase and predicts GO terms for over 53 million proteins.

InterPro version 65.0

InterPro 65.0 integrates 4580 new methods from the CDD (232), Pfam (1), SUPERFAMILY (120), PANTHER (4051), CATH-Gene3D (137), PIRSF (24), SFLD (14) and ProDom (1) databases.

We also introduced a new entry type: homologous superfamily. This integrating resource now covers 80.7% of UniProt Knowledgebase release 2017_09. It predicts Gene Ontology (GO) terms for over 53 million UniProt proteins via the InterPro2GO pipeline.

InterProScan 5.26-65.0

InterProScan 5.26-65.0 uses data from the newly released InterPro 65.0, which contains 32,283 entries and includes an update to SFLD (v. 3) and PANTHER (v. 12.0).
