InterPro version 51.0

InterPro 51.0 integrates 315 new methods from the GENE3D, HAMAP, PANTHER, PIRSF, Pfam, ProDom, SUPERFAMILY and TIGRFAMs databases, and covers 79.8% of UniProt Knowledgebase release 2015_04. It predicts Gene Ontology (GO) terms for over 28 million UniProt proteins via the InterPro2GO pipeline.

To reduce redundancy, UniProt has removed sequences corresponding to highly redundant bacterial proteomes resulting in 50% decrease in the number of proteins matched by InterPro 51.0.

The new release includes update to UniParc (uniparc_match.tar.gz) matches to InterPro methods. You can find this on our ftp site: ftp://ftp.ebi.ac.uk/pub/databases/interpro

InterProScan 5.11-51.0

InterProScan 5.11-51.0 uses data from the newly released InterPro 51.0, which contains 27244 entries and includes an update to TIGRFAMs (15.0) and HAMAP (201502.04). You can find the full release notes here.
