We are pleased to announce the release of InterProScan 5.8-49.0. You can find the full release notes here.

InterProScan 5.8-49.0 uses data from the newly released InterPro 49.0, which contains 26860 entries and includes updates to PROSITE patterns and profiles (20.105).

InterPro version 49.0

InterPro 49.0 integrates 817 new methods from the PANTHER, PROSITE profiles, Pfam and SUPERFAMILY databases, and covers 83.4% of UniProt Knowledgebase release 2014_10. It predicts Gene Ontology (GO) terms for over 54 million UniProt proteins via the InterPro2GO pipeline.

The new release includes update to UniParc (uniparc_match.tar.gz) matches to InterPro methods. You can find this on our ftp site: ftp://ftp.ebi.ac.uk/pub/databases/interpro
