InterPro 42.0 released

We are pleased to announce the release of InterPro 42.0 (4th April, 2013), which contains 24,622 entries and includes an update to TIGRFAMs (13.0) and HAMAP (201302.26). InterPro 42.0 integrates 439 new methods from the GENE3D, HAMAP, PANTHER, PIRSF, Pfam, SUPERFAMILY and TIGRFAMs databases, and covers 81.2% of UniProt Knowledgebase release 2013_03. It predicts GO terms for over 20 million UniProt proteins via the InterPro2GO pipeline. The new release features updates to UniParc and UniMES matches to InterPro methods. These can be found on our ftp site: ftp://ftp.ebi.ac.uk/pub/databases/interpro. The release also features a new protein focus article, covering Wilson's disease and the copper ATPase transporters.
